Mercedes-Benz recalls over 60,000 GLE/GLS, over 200,000 C-Class/E-Class/GLK and other vehicles
On March 29, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products". Effective March 29, 2024, the recall production date is in.
Due to the development deviation of the transmission Control Unit software in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, under the specific conditions that the driver lightly presses the brake pedal and the automatic transmission is reduced from 7th to 6th gear.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will upgrade the transmission Control Unit software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers to eliminate safety hazards.
Effective August 9, 2024, the recall production date is in.
The 12V battery installed by some vehicles in the scope of this recall may seep out from the vicinity of the pole after long-term use. In extreme cases, the battery sensor is damaged, and the condensate in the air seeps into the battery sensor, causing corrosion or even short circuit.
Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace factory-assembled batteries still in use on current vehicles free of charge through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers. At the same time, the battery wiring harness and battery sensor of the vehicle will be overhauled, and if there are traces of corrosion, they will be replaced to eliminate potential safety hazards.

The 80A fuses of some vehicles within the scope of this recall are deviated due to the welding process, which may cause the fuse connection to be interrupted or the current required for fusing to be too high, resulting in the failure of the associated system.
Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. will replace affected fuse boxes for vehicles within the recall area free of charge through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers to eliminate safety hazards.
