A few days ago, we learned from relevant channels. Cadillac’s new ATS-L will be officially launched on September 7th. The new car will be equipped with a brand-new 8-speed automatic manual transmission, and a 25S entry-level model will be added.
Tip: Cadillac ATS-L is positioned in a medium-sized car; Competitors are BMW 3 Series, mercedes benz c Class and other models.
At present, there are five Cadillac models on sale, all of which are equipped with 2.0T turbocharged engines, but they are divided into high/low power versions. The new model will also use this engine, and its 2.0T low-power version can output power of 230Ps/5500rpm and peak torque of 353 nm/2000-4000 rpm. The output power of the high-power version is 279Ps/5500rpm, and the peak torque is 400Nm/2900-4600rpm.
It is worth mentioning that the new Cadillac ATS-L will add an entry-level model with a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, which will be named 25S. Although we don’t know the specific parameters of this engine, it will be lower than the 2.0T low-power version.
At the same time, the new model will be replaced by an 8-speed automatic manual transmission, thus replacing the current 6-speed automatic manual transmission. In addition, the new car will add a Carplay mobile phone mapping system, which can realize the synchronous linkage between smart devices such as mobile phones and the screen of the CUE system, and can map mobile phone applications and movies to the car display screen.
In terms of body size, it is expected to be consistent with the current models, with a length/width/height of 4730/1824/1421mm and a wheelbase of 2860mm respectively. Judging from the spy photos of the new Cadillac ATS-L exposed before, the overall appearance remains unchanged, but the details will change. For example, the new car has adopted a brand-new LOGO shape and the words "SAIC-GM" at the end have been moved to the lower right corner.
Editor’s comment:The vast majority of automobile manufacturers take the models equipped with small-displacement supercharged engines as entry-level, and the decrease of taxes and fees leads to the reduction of manufacturers’ costs. Cadillac, on the other hand, is it really good to do so?
